Claudio di Cocco graduated with a Law degree from the University of Bologna with a thesis in Legal Informatics dedicated to the protection of digital works.
A lawyer at the Bologna Bar Association (Italy), his professional activities deal with advice and legal assistance in the fields of Legal Informatics and IT Law for national and multinational organisations and companies, regarding privacy and processing of personal data, e-commerce, IT contracts and intellectual property.
Founding and Managing Partner of Cunegatti Di Cocco and Associates – Information Technology Law Firm, a Law Firm dedicated to legal trial aid and legal advice in the fields of Information Technology Law.
Ph.D. in Legal Informatics and IT Law at University of Bologna.
Distinguished Visiting Research Scholar at Boston College Law School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
The research interests concern Legal Informatics and IT law, in particular: privacy and processing of personal data, electronic contracts and ecommerce, digital works and protection of intellectual property, electronic document and electronic signatures, digital proof.
He has participated in national and international research projects dedicated to Computer science, Bioethics and Information Technology law.
