About The Speaker
Since 2013, Santiago Romo has been the Director of the Rey Juan Carlos University Technology Transfer Office (Madrid, Spain).
In July 2016 he was appointed Co-ordinator of the Spanish Association of University Technology Transfer Offices (RedOTRI).During 2008-2010, he managed the Technology Transfer Support Program at the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. He joined the Rey Juan Carlos University after fifteen years of activity in private and public organisations such as: Telefonica (Madrid, Spain), LURE Laboratory (Orsay-Paris, France), Autonoma University (Madrid, Spain) and CDTI (Spanish R&D Agency, Ministry of Science and Innovation).
He has been Spanish National Delegate to the European R&D Framework Program (European Commission) and Industrial Liaison Officer at CERN Laboratory (Geneva, Switzerland) and ESRF Laboratory (Grenoble, France), and currently represents the National Associations Advisory Committee (NAAC) on the Board of ASTP-Proton. He is a graduate in Physics of Autonoma University Madrid, Spain.
